The "night clubs" were initially opened to provide a place for painters, writers, musicians and other artists to gather, talk, perform and experiment. This release of Terra De Soños includes a beautifully packaged hard cover book, a music CD and a DVD featuring the live performance and additional information about the band. I'm lucky to be a part of a group that does just that. The word Baroque itself describes the musical period’s extravagance and vibrance. "The word baroque has at various times meant bizarre, flamboyant, and elaborately ornamented. [...] An oversimplified but useful characterization of baroque style is that it fills space - canvas, stone, or sound - with action and movement." (Kamien 123) Differences between the two styles are easily distinguished.

Listen to how the trumpets and the violins take the melody in toghether throughout the piece while the other instruments provide the harmony. Opened in 1994, Smalls became the mecca for combos and big bands with a revolving cast of players, as well as a place for all-night jamming-the sort of jazz training ground largely missing from the scene since the '50s. Generic rock is just pop with distorted guitars but the genre is so diverse it has a lot of its sub-genres laying emphasis on the instruments, the best being progressive rock.

Bands like Acid Mother Temple do this by creating a hook through a melody and then branch off into a cosmic jam. In the 1990s, however, "alternative country " came to refer to a diverse group of musicians and singers operating outside the traditions and industry of mainstream country music. Share it with your friends, argue about it create your own if you like. Embracing everything from honking tenor saxophonists to big band singers to cocktail piano stylings, the style still has room to grow and enter a more contemporary phase.

En 1988, Clint Eastwood réalise Bird, un biopic consacré au saxophoniste Charlie Parker, avec Forest Whitaker dans le rôle principal. The last song is a GREAT cover of Hugh Masakela's "GRAZIN IN THE GRASS" (minus the cowbell) and once again the guitarist is THA BOMB.....1960s psychedelic WAH WAH, DUCK WALKING (a la Chuck Berry) & then ending the song w/20 seconds of LOVE ROLLERCOASTER. Lavish festivals featuring African dances to drums were organized on Sundays at Place Congo, or Congo Square, in New Orleans until 1843, as were similar gatherings in New England and New York.
